Crab Dip

If you do a crab boil and happen to have leftover crab, here is what you can use all that leftover crab meat for. Honestly I prefer crab dip at restaurants; all the succulent flavor of crab, but without the hassle of cracking the shells.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz (1 brick) Cream Cheese
  • ¼ cup Mayo
  • 1/3 cup Sour Cream
  • ¼ cup Green Onion (2 scallions chopped)
  • 4 tsp Old Bay
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • Juice from 1 Lemon
  • 1 Tbs Tabasco
  • 1 lb. Crab Meat
  • ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper
  • ½ cup Shredded White Cheddar Cheese
  • ¾ cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • ½ tsp Mustard Powder
  • ¼ tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • Soft Italian Loaf and Yellow Corn Chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Soften the cream cheese in the microwave, then fold in mayo, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and tabasco. Fold in all seasonings, then stir in cheese and crab meat.
  3. Pour into a baking pan that has been sprayed with oil.
  4. Bake in oven for 20 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Serve with toasted soft Italian loaf or Yellow Corn Chips.

Yield: Enough dip for a party of 10 people
